NSA Chief, Cyber Command General Urges Senate Passage of Cybersecurity Legislation

WASHINGTON – General Keith Alexander, who heads the National Security Agency and leads the Department of Defense’s Cyber Command, wrote to Senate leaders Tuesday urging them to vote this week on cybersecurity legislation that would improve the digital networks of the nation’s most critical infrastructure.

Alexander also called on the Senate to improve information sharing about cyber threats among private companies and between private companies and the government in order to protect Americans from catastrophic cyber attacks.
