Washington, DC–Senate Governmental Affairs Chairman Fred Thompson ((R-TN)) has announced a hearing on the nominations of G. Edward DeSeve to be Deputy Director for Management of the office of Management and Budget and Deidre A. Lee to be Administrator, office of Federal Procurement Policy, Office of Management and Budget. The hearing will be held at 10 am on April 22 in Room 342 Dirksen Building.
G. Edward DeSeve has been Controller for the Office of Management
Budget since 1995, and Acting Deputy Director for Management since July 1997. Previously he was Assistant to the Director of the office of Management and Budget (1994-95), Chief Financial Officer for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (1993-94), Special Assistant to the Governor of Pennsylvania (1990-92) and Senior Lecturer at the Fels Center of Government at the University of Pennsylvania (1985-93). He holds a B.S. degree from Cornell University and a MGA from the University of Pennsylvania.
Deidre A. Lee has been with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) headquarters since 1991 in various capacities including Executive officer to the Deputy Administrator for Procurement. She is currently Associate Administrator for Procurement. Previously, she held several positions at NASA’s Johnson Space Center (1984-91). From 1982-84 she was a contract negotiator for Air Force Logistics Command, and from 1979-82 for HQ Electronic Systems Command. She received her MPA from Oklahoma University in 1981, and a B.S. degree in business administration from Central State University in 1974.
