The Subcommittee will review the impact of shifting global economic forces on the federal government’s ability to negotiate, monitor and enforce trade agreements. The hearing will examine whether current staffing levels within the federal government’s trade agencies, namely the Department of Commerce and the Office of the United States Trade Representative, are adequate to achieve these agencies’ missions.
