WASHINGTON—Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Joe Lieberman, ID-Conn., Friday released the following statement on the death of Border Patrol Agent Robert Rosas:
“I was greatly saddened to learn about the death of Border Patrol agent Robert Rosas last night in California. His family is in my thoughts and prayers. This tragedy is a grim reminder of the dangers that our brave agents and officers at CBP face each and every single day as they place their lives on the line to ensure that our borders are secure. They are on the front lines, just as our troops are fighting abroad, and they deserve our appreciation and our support.”
