Dr. Paul Releases Statement on Senate Confirmation of Russell Vought to be Director of the Office of Management and Budget

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, released the following statement after the Senate voted, 53-47, to confirm the Honorable Russell Vought as Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB):

“Congratulations to Russ Vought on his confirmation to be Director of OMB once again. As the former Director, he demonstrated a proven commitment to advocating fiscal responsibility and proposing strategies to reduce excessive spending. Director Vought will play a crucial role in leading President Trump’s budget, overseeing agency use of funds, and collaborating with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). I proudly supported Director Vought during a confirmation process filled with partisan attacks and appreciate his willingness to serve.”
