WASHINGTON — Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, had this to say on Thursday following an executive order from President Trump to strengthen the federal government’s cybersecurity standards:
“Cybersecurity and protecting our critical infrastructure are two of my top priorities as chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. We must ensure that our data is secure and our critical infrastructure is not vulnerable to attacks. I’m glad to see the Trump administration is making these issues a priority and I look forward to reviewing the executive order.”
