Johnson Talks Unmasking List on America’s Newsroom

WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, appeared on “America’s Newsroom” Thursday to discuss the recently declassified list of Obama-era officials who were behind the unmasking of Michael Flynn and his committee’s continuing government oversight efforts.

Video of the interview can be found here and an excerpt is below.

“I’ve always felt that there has been a concerted effort to sabotage this administration and it began the day after the election when, according to these folks, the wrong person won. … I think we are starting to see what they were kicking into overdrive is this Russian hoax. Even though at the end of January they knew full well, the FBI knew that there was no evidence of collusion, all these administration officials are saying they have no evidence, and yet James Comey engineered the appointment of a special counsel and put this country through this constitutional crisis over the last two or three years and, unfortunately, hampered this administration to a great extent.”

“When President Obama left office and said this is the first administration with no scandals – are you kidding me? What about Lois Lerner and the IRS scandal? How about Fast and Furious, the fact that his attorney general was held in contempt? What about the exoneration of Hillary Clinton? Which, by the way Ed, I’ve always felt one of the reasons they went overboard to exonerate Hillary Clinton is because President Obama knew full well that she was using a private server and according to the statute, 793(f), having knowledge of somebody mishandling, through gross negligence, national security information – that makes somebody legally vulnerable as well. There are a lot of questions that this unmasking revelation has created, a lot of questions need to be answered from Vice President Biden all the way up to President Obama.”
