Chairman McCaskill Questions State Department’s Procedures for Responding to Public and Congressional Inquiries

In September 2012, the State Department Office of Inspector General found major problems with the management and operation of the Office of Information Programs and Services, which is responsible for responding to both public requests for information through the Freedom of Information Act and requests from Congress.  Chairman McCaskill asked the State Department to provide information regarding its progress in addressing the problems raised in the report.
