The purpose of the roundtable was to bring together stakeholders representing a variety of interests and organizations to discuss the role of Title IX in addressing sexual violence on college and university campuses. The roundtable provided an opportunity to hear about challenges and best practices relating to how colleges and universities are complying with Title IX, how they are working to address sexual violence, and the tools available to support students who are survivors. In addition, the roundtable was a forum to suggest improvements and changes to ensure that the civil rights of students are protected, colleges and universities have the guidance necessary to fully comply with the law, and that the federal government has the resources necessary for enforcement.
