Excessive Speculation and Compliance with the Dodd-Frank Act

The Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations held a hearing on speculation in the commodities markets and implementation of the Dodd-Frank Act’s provisions on speculative position limits for futures, options, and swap contracts for oil and other commodities. Hearing witnesses included a panel of experts and the Chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
